Personalisation of leather goods has been getting more and more popular in the recent years and JJR Bespoke have got their’s down to a T. From a tailoring background within the family that started from the heart of The Midlands, Jess has followed in her great great great grandfathers footsteps starting her tailoring journey at the family business and then furthering on her career to create her own Business JJR Bespoke.
I was approached by Jess the founder of JJR Bespoke on Instagram and she offered to personalise a bag of my choice.. It is not just initial personalisation that they can do, you can choose the leather colour, stitching and design of your chosen leather accessory too, which is a great touch as you can really put your personal spin on the product you have chosen!
I decided to go for the envelope style clutch bag without a chain in chocolate brown leather with cream stitching and my initials embossed in the corner.. I also had the choice of either silver or gold hardware and I chose silver. The turnaround of the bag was really quick and it arrived one Saturday morning beautifully wrapped in tissue paper to keep it protected with the JJR Bespoke sticker. The bag is made with the highest quality veg tan leather and has been entirely hand stitched and hand crafted! Overall, I was really impressed with the quality and standard of the bag and the service that JJR Bespoke provided baring in mind it was being kindly gifted to me. Jess kept me updated on how the bag was getting on and when I would be looking to receive it which was a really nice touch as you feel the experience is personal too. JJR Bespoke do what they can to quickly turnaround your chosen products if you need them for a certain event, you just have to ask! But usually, you should leave 1-2 weeks for production and delivery.
This envelope clutch is very versatile and a key piece in my wardrobe. I am one of these girls that doesn’t always like to carry around a big bag, so this clutch is the perfect addition. I wear mine mainly for evenings out but I also like to carry this around with me if I am popping for lunch, or over to friends as more of a casual bag to carry my essentials. The colour of the leather is great as it goes with everything.. I am biased to brown leather though I must say.

I was also kindly sent a Tweed Poncho to trail and test and I have to say, it has been tailored to the finest quality. I received the Purple Tweed Poncho which is made from the highest quality lambs wool tweed lined with two tone shot lining, paired with a matching purple leather tassel which is detachable and finished off beautifully with a fur collar. All the poncho/capes are made to order and come in one size but if you have any specific changes or requirements these can be done for you as long as you mention prior to purchase. They come in a range of different tweed colours and combinations, but you can also request the colours/patterns for your poncho. These also have a turnaround time of around 1-2 weeks which is great!
This beautiful poncho I found really lightweight for a tweed but really hard wearing. It falls perfectly and is a great addition to any country girls wardrobe. The contrast with the tweed and the fur is really lovely giving that added bit of chic when out and about!
